...seems to be the perfect domain for a pioneer like me.         

 

HISTORY PRESERVATION is my GOAL. Research and Record... TRUE HISTORY. I'm of a fourth generation born in Florida. I grew up in a very small community called "MEDULLA" which had a Post Office before Lakeland! This local is known today as the Harden Boulevard area in Lakeland, Fl.

 

Shortly before my sixteenth birthday - WWII was declared - Lakeland Air Force Base (Drane Field) was opened and there I met my life mate, a native of Texas, Airman Van D. Howell. Together we raised three children. And now have six grandchildren along with two great grandchildren. 

 

My business and professional career has included the Space Program in the 1950's (space pioneer); Stock Broker in the 1960's; Business owner in the 1970's;  the Challenge of four grandchildren in the 1970's-1980's;  and the Insurance Industry in the 1990's (Member of FAIFA). 

Activities and honors include Space Pioneer (AFMTC) (NASA) Top Secret Clearance - Past President Business & Professional Women's Club-served on State Finance Committee;  Public Affairs Officer Woman's Club & chosen to represent Woman's Club as candidate for Mayor;  Elected to Sebring Chamber of Commerce & Board of Directors;  Mental Health Association - Highlands County-assisted in establishing first facility in Highlands County-Served State Level-tricounty Board;  Vice President Women's Republican Party.  Awarded Outstanding Performance by USAF; Dale Carnegie Graduate.  Charter & Life Member Polk County Historical Association. Have been and active member in Executive Business Women's Network 'EBWN' for the past six years.
